- Multitasking - This is why organization is so important. A human resources professional wears many hats, and has to be available for any issues employees may have at a minute's notice. In addition to that, you also have to be involved with social media and recruitment, engagement, retention, and many other functions that are important. You will be working with many managers who need many things and will need to know how to juggle them all efficiently.
- Negotiation - You will learn the skill of making sure that both parties are able to come to an agreement that they are both happy about. This doesn't just relate to hiring functions and wage assignment, this also includes mediation between managers and employees. Negotiation is a skill that you will utilize every day during your job duties.
- Communication - As a human resources professional, you will have to keep the lines of communication open with management, potential employees, current employees, and everyone in between. You will have to make sure that you do it in writing so there is a record of all communications, and even through social media networks that are divided up among groups.
